TNA News: Ric Flair injury update
Sep 18, 2011 - 11:30 AM |
TNA legend Ric Flair suffered a broken bursa sac in his left elbow during his match with Sting that aired on Thursday's Impact Wrestling. "It was brutal," Flair told Mike Mooneyham of the Charleston Post and Courier. "I thought I had broken my arm on that spot. I don't know how I did it either.
"Sting put me down flat on that superplex, but somehow I hit something. It broke the bursa sack in my elbow. But at that moment I was sure I had broken my arm in half." To read the full story, visit PostandCourier.com.
Powell's POV: There was some concern backstage that Flair had suffered a cardiac issue, so it's good to know that his actual issue was minor in comparison. Flair also noted that the injury affected the match, but stated that the elbow no longer hurts and he merely needs to cautious of acquiring an infection. That said, Flair suffered a torn rotator cuff in January, and now this injury in September. As much as I've enjoyed watching Flair perform over the years, it's obvious that his 62 year-old body can only take so much.
