TNA News: Identity of the fan who sent Jeff Hardy the package of drugs was also arrested
Sep 9, 2011 - 03:49 PM |
The package filled with prescription painkillers that was sent to Jeff Hardy's home and led to a police raid was sent by Thomas Ray Cruz of Florida. The Fayetteville Observer reports that Cruz was arrested in Moore County, N.C. in November 2010 on charges of conspiracy to traffic opium and two counts of trafficking opium. He is free on bond and will appear in court in November. To read more on the story, visit Fayobserver.com.
Powell's POV: I'm surprised Cruz isn't facing Federal charges given that it appears he shipped the drugs across state lines. Most of the story is filled with quotes from Hardy's attorney, who attempts to make Hardy out to be a sympathetic figure. I'll let you judge for yourself whether you feel as though Hardy fits that description.
