TNA Impact Wrestling quarter-hour ratings: A breakdown of how the various segments performed on the Destination X go-home show
Jul 11, 2011 - 12:55 PM

By Jason Powell

The following are the quarter-hour ratings for Thursday's TNA Impact Wrestling television show.

Q1: 0.99 rating - Bully Ray, Gunner, and Scott Steiner call out Mr. Anderson, Kurt Angle out, Beer Money talk backstage

Q2: 1.0 rating - Crimson vs. Bobby Roode, Tony Nese video, Abyss and Kendrick backstage, Jack Evans video, Kendrick and Abyss in-ring verbal exchange

Q3: 1.4 rating - Kendrick and Abyss continuation, Jesse Sorensen video, Jack Evans vs. Tony Nese vs. Jesse Sorensen

Q4: 1.05 rating - X Division three-way continuation, British Invasion backstage, Destination X video, Velvet Sky talks backstage, Sting talks to Mr. Anderson backstage

Q5: 1.21 rating - Velvet Sky vs. ODB and Jackie, Pope and Devon backstage, A.J. Styles and Christopher Daniels video

Q6: 1.16 rating - Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn vs. A.J. Styles vs. Christopher Daniels, Eric Young searches for a huge star

Q7: 1.17 rating - Devon and The Pope vs. Matt Morgan and James Storm, Mr. Anderson talks backstage, The Jarretts check in from Mexico

Q8: 1.18 rating - Announcers hype Destination X, Hulk Hogan beats up Sting backstage, Immortal vs. Kurt Angle in a handicap match, Mr. Anderson attacks Angle

Powell's POV: The first hour of the show flopped, but the second hour performed better in the ratings. For those who missed it earlier, the show scored a 1.14 rating. I can't say I'm surprised that the handicap main event failed to produce a rating, as the handicap gimmick is so played out. Unfortunately, so is hardcore, but that's the focus of TNA's next pay-per-view event.
