Dot Net Exclusive notes: Kurt Angle still battling injuries, Jake Roberts, backstage agent heat, UK trip
Jun 11, 2008 - 11:40 AM

-Kurt Angle was in noticeable pain following the pay-per-view on Sunday night. The spot where one of A.J. Styles's legs landed on his neck at ringside was not a planned spot, and Kurt was sore after the match. He was also nursing a knee injury at Monday's taping. "Knowing Kurt, he'll probably work every match (on the UK tour).

-Jake Roberts was said to be clean and in good spirits backstage at the pay-per-view on Sunday.

-Agent Scott D'Amore earned some backstage heat for asking to be upgraded from coach to business class for the overseas flight. "How can you justify flying in business class when three-quarters of the roster is flying in coach?" one source asked.

-The TNA crew is traveling overseas today and will have their first UK show tomorrow in Liverpool. TNA president Dixie Carter attended the pay-per-view, but was not at the television tapings this week because she flew overseas early.

Powell's POV: There continues to be concern that Angle is pushing through serious injuries and needs more rest. The feeling amongst many people in the industry is that he can't be trusted to police himself when it comes to dealing with injuries because more often than not he'll attempt to push through it.

Good to hear Jake is doing well in battle with addictions. He's a great mind for the business and he could definitely contribute plenty to any company if he remains clean. This certainly isn't the first time that D'Amore has developed heat and it probably won't be the last. He's tight with Jeff Jarrett despite some of their past clashes. The company is definitely excited about the UK tour and understandably so given the strong ticket sales.
