3/16 TNA Impact taping: Full results of the show taped for March 31 (spoilers)

Mar 18, 2011 - 09:35 AM

Dot Net reader Mr. Showtime attended the TNA Impact taping on Wednesday in Orlando, Fla. and passed along the following report.

Dark Match

1. Jake Tarr defeated Bobby Shields. Young guys from the 3D or Taz schools, I believe. Shields looks like a long haired Dolph Ziggler and Tarr is a little generic, but both guys can work. Very entertaining match.

Xplosion

1. Mickie James defeated Rosita (w/Sarita). I was really impressed by Rosita. She got a lot offense on Mickie and did some really nice moves, such as a nice plancha onto the floor and blocked a tornado DDT attempt by using a full body headlock submission while Mickie was still standing. Mickie won with a terrible looking Thesz press from the top rope.

TNA Impact Taping

The show opened with Mr Anderson dragging Earl Hebner to the ring for an explanation on why he disqualified him last week against RVD. They yelled back and forth and at one point, and Earl said he was "tired of Anderson's shit!" Brian Hebner came out to save his father after Anderson kicked him and was about to do the Mic Check.

Sting then came out and he and Anderson brawled through the crowd and back into the ring. Security broke them up, then RVD came down the ramp and said if Anderson felt cheated, then he is okay with it being a three-way at Lockdown. Earl said he did not have the authority to reverse the decision.

Cue Hulk Hogan and Eric Biscoff, who made it official for Lockdown and also made a three-on-three match for RVD, Sting, and Anderson vs. Team Flair in a cage for tonight.

1. Scott Steiner defeated Shannon Moore. EY and Orlando Jordan were on commentary for some reason. Orlando was dressed very flamboyantly. Looks like a rainbowey, feathery mess with fairy wings. Yes, I wrote wings. Shannon made fun of Stiener's posing before getting pinned after a frankenstiener. After the match, London Brawling (Doug Williams and Magnus) destroyed EY and Orlando.

2. Max Buck defeated Jeremy Buck. Lots of love for Jeremy from the crowd. A good mix of chain wrestling and high flying X-division moves. Max won with what I describe as a modified, twisting Blockbuster type move from the corner. Great match.

3. Winter defeated Velvet Sky. Winter is so hot... Oh,right, the match. Velvet had the upper hand until Angelina Love came to the ramp and stared like a zombie at both women. Winter then took control and won via her submission. As Winter was leaving, she snapped her fingers at Love on her way backstage and Love followed her as if in a trance.

Anderson came down and called out Sting. They brawled a bit more till Team Flair (Bubba, Matt Hardy, and Abyss) attacked both men. RVD came out, helped Sting in the ring, and left Anderson to beat down outside. Sting then cleared the heels when they came in the ring, then laid out Anderson.

Kurt Angle came out and said he was tired of Jarrett getting into his personal business. Jarrett came out with Rob Terry.

4. Kurt Angle defeated Rob Terry. Apparently, a match started and Terry was getting the better of Kurt until he reversed a gorilla press into an ankle lock. Terry tapped. Angle chased Jarrett to the top of the stage and tried to hit the Angle Slam. Jarret escaped and Angle followed him backstage.

The cage was put up.

5. Bully Ray, Matt Hardy, and Abyss defeated Rob Van Dam, Sting, and Mr. Anderson in a cage match. Team Flair came out first. RVD was next and waited outside the cage. Anderson came out and started his mic bit when Sting attacked him from behind. He left Anderson on the stage and went to the cage to help RVD, who had been crotched by Flair, and was thrown to the heels inside.

Flair then locked the cage. Anderson recovered and came down and grabbed a chair. Instead of heading inside the cage, he sat on it and watched the match. Funny. Flair yelled, "Hey, Green Bay, grow some balls." Also funny. Hogan came down and told Anderson to get in the ring. Anderson mocked Hogan's walk with the brace. Anderson threatened to hit Hogan, but Hogan pointed to his brace and begged off. Hogan then attacked Anderson and threw him in the ring. RVD eventually got the hot tag and was about to hit the five star frog splash on Abyss, but Anderson pushed him off the top and he was pinned.

Anderson laughed on his way up the ramp as the heels beat down Sting and RVD. Fortune came out to make the save, but they were beat down as well. The heels hit all their finishers and Kaz was wearing a crimson mask. It was a real gusher.

Christopher Daniels came out of the crowd and climbed to the top o the cage and did a MASSIVE cross body to knock down all the heels. The crowd popped HUGE. Fortune all hit their spots and finished with Daniels hitting the BME and saying, "Guess who's back!"

All in all, great show, but the matches were a little short and I'm guessing we will get a lot of backstage filler. Thanks for reading along with my first of hopefully many reports.
