The Fayetteville Observer is reporting that the reason Jeff Hardy's case was continued was because his lawyer was sick and could not attend. They have his new court date listed as March 21.

Shore's Slant: I was in the courtroom today when the case was continued. There was no reason given at that time, but there was an earlier conversation between the DA and the judge about a murder case involving Hardy's local attorney James Van Camp. Hardy has two attorneys, the local Mr. Van Camp and another from out of town.

The Observer does not say which of these were sick, but I would think it is the out of town attorney based upon the conversation in the courtroom. As far as the next date, I may have got that wrong. I was hanging my head at having just left the car after a 90 minute drive to have to do it all over again.
