TNA News: Jeff Hardy still faces all drug charges despite reports that several were dropped
Jun 8, 2010 - 08:56 PM |
TNA wrestler Jeff Hardy still faces all of the previous drug charges despite previous reports that three of the four major charges were dropped. "His charges are still pending," District Attorney Maureen Krueger told The Pilot. "In fact, a new one was added."
Hardy and his attorney James Van Camp were in court on June 3, but a full calendar prevented the case from being heard, so it was once again continued. The new charge that Hardy is facing is a felony for trafficking opium. Hardy's next trial date has not been set. To read more on the story, visit ThePilot.com.
Powell's POV: The "web rumors" that the story repeatedly references stemmed from pro wrestling online reporters contacting county officials and being told that three of the four charges had been dropped. Apparently, there was some type of clerical issue. For the record, this was not a Dot Net story, as another website was credited for the report earlier this week. We'll continue to follow the story and will provide updates as new information is available.
