TNA's Matt Morgan passes on "American Gladiators" contract offer
Apr 21, 2008 - 06:00 PM

Matt Morgan will not be appearing on the second season of NBC's "American Gladiators." Although he was selected to be a gladiator this year, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that he balked at their contract, which would have given NBC an option on his services for up to six years. The deal also would have given NBC the first priority for possible arena events, which Morgan wasn't willing to accept because of his desire to wrestle.

Powell's POV: I'm not even sure if Morgan legally could have agreed to give NBC the first right portion of the deal because of his contract with TNA. This would have bee good exposure for Morgan and TNA, but you can't blame him for passing on a one-sided contract.

Yes, he's much better than the first week.
No, he's still terrible.
He's improving, but I still can't believe WWE puts him on television.
