TNA makes a significant change behind the scenes

The buzz at the television taping on Tuesday was that the agents have been given more control over laying out the matches and the finishes. In the past, the TNA creative team has done the bulk of the work and the agents were essentially conveying their direct orders to the talent.

The creative team still determines which wrestlers win and lose and Jeff Jarrett still has final say, but the feeling amongst the wrestlers was that this was a good move by the company. The wrestlers believe they can talk over their concerns and even lobby for positive changes in the match layouts with the agents, whereas the agents had no choice but to stick with the script they were given by the creative team even if they agreed with the ideas the wrestlers were giving them.

Powell's POV: I believe this change started at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view. I don't expect there to be a noticeable difference in the on-air product at first, but it is a move the wrestlers seem happy with. The move should lead to the agents garnering more respect from the talent, and it gets more people involved in the decision making process.
