A TNA crew member was killed on Sunday night following the Slammiversary pay-per-view when a piece of scaffolding broke and the man fell 15 to 20 feet to the concrete below. WMCTV reports that the man was rushed to a local hospital where he later died. The man's name has not been released and authorities are investigating the accident.
In related news, a second worker with a local outfit named Crew 1 that was brought in for the event lost his thumb when the scaffolding collapsed. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover. His name is also being withheld. For more information and a news video regarding both accidents, visit WMCTV.com.
Powell’s POV: Obviously, this is tragic news. I'll continue to track this story and will pass along further updates as they become available.
