Viacom has bolted from talks with DirecTV, leaving the satellite provider without 26 networks, including Spike TV, which is the home of TNA Impact Wrestling. To read more about the claims being made by both sides, visit Variety.com/article/VR1118056770.html?cmpid=RSS|News|LatestNews&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter.

Powell's POV: Viacom is claiming that the negotiations have consisted of ten-minute phone conversations per day. If that's the case (and it's hard to know whether either side's claims are accurate at this point), then Viacom is essentially saying that by walking away from negotiations they won't have a ten-minute phone conversation today. Either way, it looks like DirecTV owners will be without Impact for another week unless this grandstanding leads to a deal before tonight's show. Don't hold your breath.
