TNA News: Tommy Dreamer announces he's leaving the company

Tommy Dreamer wrote a message on his Twitter page stating that he will be making his final appearances with TNA this weekend. "If you need a reason to go to TNA shows (on June 10-11), they will be my last two appearances for TNA," Dreamer wrote. "Come say goodbye." Follow Dreamer online at Twitter.com/TheTommyDreamer.

Powell's POV: Those shows are in Marion, Ill. and Memphis, Tenn. respectively. Dreamer did not appear at the television tapings last week, and his contract is expiring soon. It's odd that they wrote him back onto the show and turned him heel only to have him finish up without a real blowoff angle. My guess is that Vince Russo was trying to breathe some new life into the Dreamer character in hopes that it would lead to his contract being renewed, but that's purely speculation.
