TNA appears to be building toward the following matches for the Turning Point pay-per-view.

-A.J. Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Daniels for the TNA Title.

-The British Invasion vs. The Motor City Machine Guns for the TNA Tag Titles.

-Kurt Angle vs. Desmond Wolfe (a/k/a Nigel McGuinness).

-Bobby Lashley vs. Scott Steiner.

Powell's POV: This show looks great on paper so far. Styles, Joe, and Daniels have had great matches together and this has the potential to be the best TNA pay-per-view main event of the year.

I am surprised that they're going with the Lashley vs. Steiner match simply because Lashley received such a negative reaction at the pay-per-view, whereas Steiner was cheered for the big moment they gave him during the four-way tag match. At this point, there's no indication that they are planning to turn either wrestler let alone a double turn.

Angle vs. Wolfe is a dream match for fans who followed Nigel's career in Ring of Honor. Clearly, the company has big plans for Nigel if they're moving him right into a program with Angle. Finally, it's great to see The Guns get a pay-per-view tag title shot. I saw a three-way with The Guns, British Invasion, and Beer Money at a recent house show. All three teams were impressive. Beer Money was the most over, but there were some fun, flashy spots with The Guns and British Invasion.
