TNA's network partner Spike TV announced the development of five new scripted television series. "We’re concentrated on launching one or more special event series that we see as a great way to get to hour dramatic series," Spike TV’s EVP Original Series Sharon Levy stated in a story published on Deadline.com. The new series are called Hit Men, White Bulger Project, The Lamp, iHuman, and a fifth unnamed series on the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya.

Powell's POV: There's no telling how this will affect TNA. If Spike TV generates more viewers with its original programming, then there could be some trickle down to TNA. Of course, there's also the risk that the network has success with its scripted programming and decides there's not room for the pro wrestling show that's been stuck around the 1.0 rating mark since it went live. If nothing else, it's always worth keeping an eye on what TNA's network partner is up to.
