TNA wrestler Kurt Angle announced via Twitter that he will not be competing at the Olympic trials. "Due to a hamstring (and) knee injuries, I'm forced to pull out of trials," Angle wrote. "Had a talk with USA wrestling coach Zeke Jones, who has supported me all year. I trained extremely hard for a full year. I'm very disappointed. I want to thank all the fans for your support." Powell's POV: Angle stated that he suffered an MCL injury that will require four to six months of rehab. He noted that he intends to wrestle at the TNA Lockdown pay-per-view and will have his injury "heavily protected." He also noted that he will "see what happens from there," which seems to suggest that missing ring time is a possibility.
