TNA star Christopher Daniels told Scott Fishman of the Miami Herald that he was surprised that he got the call to return to TNA. "It was unexpected," Daniels said. "It was sort of a result of some plans that went awry. I knew that I was going to go back at some point. I just didn’t know when. It was just a matter of when something opened up. With so many of my friends in that locker room, I was glad to be back. I was looking forward to working with them again and getting back on Spike TV.

"I feel like creative has an idea for me now. At the point when Hulk [Hogan] and Eric [Bischoff] came in, maybe some priorities changed or some ideas changed. As a result, I was in a certain spot. Then I was sort of demoted right away, but now I feel they see me in a certain light, and I think they are going to capitalize on that and run with it.

Daniels also spoke about the pressure of his Destination X match with A.J. Styles. "I think its self-inflicted pressure,” Daniels said. “I think AJ and I know we have wrestled so many times that it’s going to be hard. That is the challenge to make this match sort of different than the others we’ve had in the past.

"We are going to go out there and change the perception of us. We are going to show how much we have changed and improved over the past couple of years." To read the full interview, visit MiamiHerald.com.

Powell's POV: Daniels also noted that he and Styles have been working against one another for ten years. Their match will be in the main event slot of Sunday's Destination X pay-per-view, which looks like a strong show on paper. Daniels also addressed the C.M. Punk promo during the interview.
