Canadian cable company Rogers, which at 2.25 million subscribers is Canada's largest cable television provider, has announced that SpikeTV, which carries TNA Impact Wrestling, will drop from the "VIP tier" on May 25 and be added to the "Classic tier." Subscribers will have to pay an additional fee to continue to access the channel after that date. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Adam Lebow.]

Shore's Slant: Not only is this a tough break for TNA and their fans, but it also sucks for Rodgers' customers. From what I understand from searching around the web, several channels are being dropped from the VIP tier, which sounds like the standard cable tier for most American cable companies, and yet their price for that tier stays the same.
