TNA star Bobby Roode spoke with Slam Wrestling about his contractual issues from earlier this year. "Honestly with the TNA situation, a lot of it had to do with the visa paperwork and stuff like that, being a Canadian and having to come and work in the United States," Roode said. "Everything just fell into place very quickly. It wasn't like I was sitting at home for months at a time, stewing and looking for different things to do.

"I was trying to concentrate on staying here and looking towards my future, and getting to where I was going to be. TNA wanted me here bad enough that we were able to work something out quickly. I'm happy for it." Read the full story at Slam.canoe.ca.

Powell's POV: Roode also spoke about teaming with Austin Aries and leaving the Impact Zone to take the show on the road. For those who may have missed it at the time, TNA allowed Roode's contract to expire by failing to execute their option for renewal. The issues all took place leading up to the Lockdown pay-per-view. He was off television leading up to the show, but was re-signed in time for the actual Lockdown event.
