TNA issued a press release on Tuesday to announce the hiring of John "Big" Gaburick as the executive vice president o television production. "I’ve always admired Dixie Carter and TNA as a uniquely dynamic and growing organization,” Gaburick in the press release. "This opportunity marks an exciting new challenge for me, and I am honored to join the team."
Dixie Carter also commented on the hiring. "As TNA evolves, John’s award-winning creative vision and production expertise coupled with his sports and entertainment industry business savvy make him the perfect person to push us in new directions," Carter said. "He is a gifted and innovative storyteller, and we are thrilled to have him on board."
Powell's POV: Gaburick worked for WWE for 13 years on the production side. He became well known to WWE fans for his on-air role on the early Tough Enough shows. The press release also states that Gaburick will be relocating to Nashville along with his wife and two children.
