The word backstage on Sunday was that TNA will not be renewing Booker T's contract when it expires in November. There had been some talk that Dixie Carter would have a change of heart if Booker said the right things, but all indications are that his fate was sealed when he refused to do a job at the last Impact tapings.

Powell's POV: Creative booked the stretcher angle during Booker's match to get him out quickly. There was a lot of eye rolling backstage over the way he acted as he was being stretchered out, but it didn't lead to any major heat. As one source put it, "He's been such an asshole that most people were just happy to see him go."

At this point, I'd be surprised he worked another match for TNA before his deal expires next month. As previously noted, Booker has been telling people that he has a WWE deal waiting for him. Meanwhile, one WWE source cracked that it will be interesting to see how Booker likes the $2,500 fine the company has instituted for testing positive for marijuana use.

Dot Net members received the first look at this news on Monday night. It is being ripped off by cut and paste sites that try to pass off the hard work of others as their own. There seems to be a lot of that going on today. To become a member for only $5 per month, visit the Dot Net Members' Signup Page.
