TNA News: A.J. Styles contract expiring

The short-term contract extension that A.J. Styles signed with TNA Wrestling expires on December 16, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com. Money continues to be the major issue that has prevented the two sides from reaching a new long term agreement.

Powell's POV: Styles is taking independent bookings. He appeared at the most recent TNA Impact Wrestling television tapings and will appear on the taped Impact Wrestling television shows in the weeks ahead. It's still possible that the two sides will strike a new deal, but for now it appears as though Styles will be a free agent eight days from now.
