TNA Impact Wrestling rating: How did the show hold up against the NFL opening night game?

TNA Impact Wrestling produced a 1.02 rating, which is down from the 1.06 rating the show drew last week. The show averaged 1.4 million viewers, which is equal to the viewership from last week's show. The first hour of Impact Wrestling produced a 0.99 rating, and the second hour shot up to a 1.05 rating.

Powell's POV: I can't say I'm stunned by the fact that Impact didn't completely tank in the ratings despite stiff competition from the NFL game. Even the holiday shows usually come in just on the low end of the company's average and haven't completely bombed. Impact Wrestling viewers are loyal, yet most apparently are not consumed enough to order the pay-per-view events on a regular basis.
