TNA Genesis PPV lineup: Six matches advertised for the first pay-per-view of 2012

The following matches are advertised for the TNA Genesis pay-per-view, which takes place on January 8 in Orlando, Fla.

-Bobby Roode vs. Jeff Hardy for the TNA Title.

-Kurt Angle vs. James Storm.

-Austin Aries vs. Kid Kash vs. Jesse Sorensen vs. Zema Ion for the X Division Title.

-Gail Kim vs. Mickie James for the TNA Knockouts Title.

-Bully Ray vs. Abyss in a Monster's Ball match.

-D'Angelo Dinero vs. Devon.

Powell's POV: It's time for the monthly "the show looks good on paper." The problem is that TNA pay-per-views rarely live up to their potential. I just can't get excited about a TNA pay-per-view until the company goes at least two consecutive months without delivering crappy finishes and/or don't book the pay-per-views in a way that make the paying customers feel like they paid to see a glorified three-hour preview to the Impact television show. Here's hoping this show will be a step in that direction.
