Bellator Fighting Championship will be moving to Fridays beginning September 13. The show will launch on Saturday September 7 before moving to its Friday time slot of 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET, according to MMA-boxing.si.com.

Powell's POV: Spike TV president Kevin Kay also commented in the story by saying that TNA moved back to the later time slot on Thursdays because pro wrestling's dedicated audience will hold up better against NFL games once the season begins in September. He also pointed to the strength of WWE Raw as a reason Bellator did not move to a Monday time slot. Bellator had been airing after TNA on Thursday nights.
