Hulk Hogan was the featured guest for 30 minutes on tonight's "Larry King Live" on CNN on Tuesday night. He spoke mostly about his marriage and book during the interview. King finally mentioned that Hogan had signed with TNA during the closing minutes. Hogan confirmed the news. When King asked if he was going to wrestle, Hogan said he would be wrestling in Australia next month.

Hogan also confirmed that his son Nick Bollea is training at Rikishi's training center in Hollywood. He smiled as he spoke about Nick, but didn't reveal any information regarding his plans. The segment will replayed on CNN at 11 p.m. CT on Tuesday, and at 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

Powell's POV: I'm shocked at the lack of TNA discussion. Yes, King was controlling the interview, but Hogan could have steered him in that direction and put over the signing as a major event. Honestly, I feel like wrestling fans are more excited about the news than Hogan seemed to be during the interview.

For a while there, I felt like I was watching a replay of Hogan's last appearance on King because so much of the discussion focussed on his family. I realize he was promoting a book, but I expected him to put over the TNA signing in a much bigger way.

For what it's worth, Hogan spent more time indirectly criticizing the roles of writers and creative team members. An emailer asked what the big difference between wrestling today and when he started, and he said there were no writers telling him or other wrestlers who to walk and talk. No, he did not mention Vince Russo as part of his answer.
