TNA president Dixie Carter and other members of management addressed the locker room prior to Thursday's television event in Louisville, Kentucky. Carter stated that everyone is still being evaluated and did not rule out additional cuts, but added that the changes were for the long term good of the company.

Powell's POV: TNA CFO/COO Dean Broadhead, executive vice president Andy Barton, and Jeff Jarrett were also present at the show, which caught a number of people by surprise. One of the issues Carter cited for the restructuring is the fact that the company spent a lot of money taping of the One Night Only pay-per-view events back in March prior to leaving the Impact Zone at Universal Studios.

Sources within the company believe that additional cuts are in the works. On a positive note, new executive vice president of television production John Gaburick received strong praise within the locker room. He was at the gorilla position along with creative team member Matt Conway, and the talent acknowledged the more positive vibe with Gaburick compared to when recently released executive Bruce Prichard was in that role. Gabrurick joined the company recently after a 13-year stay in WWE, and a source noted that it appears he has been assigned a number of Prichard's previous responsibilities.
