Taz is heading to TNA and is expected to begin work as Samoa Joe's advisor, according to multiple sources. They teased Taz's debut at the Lockdown pay-per-view on Sunday by having Joe wear a towel on his head in a backstage segment. Unfortunately, the lighting was so lousy that it was hard to tell Joe was wearing the towel. However, he did hit a series of Taz-like suplexes once he entered the Lethal Lockdown match.

Sources confirm reports that Taz is unable to appear on camera until his noncompete clause with WWE expires. No word on the length of his noncompete agreement, but he is clearly being teased for a TNA debut. He will enter TNA as an advisor for Joe, and will likely make a transition to the broadcast booth as a color commentator at some point.

Powell's POV: It remains to be seen where Don West fits in with the broadcast team. Multiple sources note that Jeff Jarrett and Mike Tenay have spoken out against the idea of using three-man broadcast teams in the past. West, who has worked as a product pitch man for home shopping television outlets, has value as a backstage pitch man, but he's also a favorite of Jarrett, who has resisted past pushes from others within the company to shake up the broadcast team.

More than one source has stated that while TNA President Dixie Carter likes West personally, she is not a fan of his performance as a color commentator. It's also possible that Jarrett and Tenay would change their tune regarding a three-man team if it meant keeping West onboard. Personally, I would prefer a two-man team with Taz as the lone color commentator, and West in the pitch-man role that he could thrive in.
