-Samoa Joe’s contract with TNA is set to expire in June. He signed a three-year contract with the company in June 2005 and rejected at a renewal offer earlier this year. There’s always a chance that he has privately agreed to a new deal, but there is talk that the current story line regarding his contract is based on reality. Nevertheless, there is still talk of putting the TNA Title on Joe sooner rather than later. However, a friend of Joe’s speculates that he would jump to WWE if they made him a comparable offer and presented him with a quality gimmick.

-The buzz regarding Jonny Fairplay returning to TNA is hardly positive with some members of the locker room. “He’s a bona fide pain in the ass,” one wrestler told Prowrestling.net. The wrestler went on to say that there was even serious talk of turning out the lights in the locker room and shaving his head at one show, but cooler heads prevailed.

Powell's POV: It's hard to believe that TNA would push Joe so hard and turn his contract situation into a story line if they didn't feel confident about re-signing him. As for Fairplay, he has some friends in the TNA locker room, including Shark Boy, but it will be interesting to hear how the bulk of the locker room responds to him. It will be even more interesting to find out whether he lives up to the new babyface image he tried to create for himself on last week's "Survivor."
