Dot Net Exclusive Notes: Kurt Angle eyes Hollywood career, TNA wants to add new talent

-Kurt Angle has been spending a lot of time auditioning for acting roles. He is said to have serious interest in launching an acting career.

-TNA officials have been discussing the idea of adding some new talent to the mix. The names of Johnny Swinger and Joey Matthews have come up several times, but management has yet to pull the trigger on signing them.

Powell's POV: I don't see Kurt as a leading man, but I suppose he could catch on as a bit player if he shows the type of qualities they look for in Hollywood. The TNA official I spoke with didn't seem concerned about Kurt leaving wrestling for acting full-time given his passion for the industry. If nothing else, it's good to see Kurt is thinking about life after wrestling.

TNA agent Simon Diamond (a/k/a Pat Kenney) has been making a strong pitch for his former tag partner Swinger. I think both wrestlers would be good additions to the roster, but nothing is official. Both wrestlers have worked for TNA in the past, but it's been long enough since they appeared on television that they would feel like fresh faces.
