A well-placed source reports that Konnan has not filed an actual lawsuit against TNA wrestling. Although a lawsuit is definitely in the works, the only thing filed by Konnan’s lawyer Cary Ichter is a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Atlanta, Ga. TNA will have 30 days to respond to the complaint once they receive it.

Powell’s POV: It sounds like it’s only a matter of time before the $7 million lawsuit is filed, as I have spoken to one source close to the situation who claims to have read the paperwork with his own eyes. It’s probably a case of Konnan’s side waiting for TNA to respond to the EEOC complaint before proceeding with the actual lawsuit. TNA is well aware of the threat based on comments Konnan has made publicly and because of the various internet reports that surfaced regarding the lawsuit last week.

For the record, the EEOC claim does not include allegations of drug use by TNA officials or the prescription pill accusations. However, the paperwork for the lawsuit that has yet to be filed includes those accusations. It’s always possible that will change before the actual case is filed.

My assumption is that Konnan confirmed the details of the lawsuit to another pro wrestling website last week because he was under the impression that it had actually been filed, which is definitely not the case. I expect the lawsuit to be filed at some point, but one can only assume that Konnan's lawyer won't be pleased that he released so much information before it was actually filed.
