Beth Britt, the wife of TNA star Jeff Hardy, posted a message on Twitter following Matt Hardy's video post in which he wrote "goodbye" to the world. "When the cops show up to our house at 11 pm for a 'suicide call' the f---ing joke is over (Matt Hardy)," Britt wrote. "Stop trying to work the internet."

Meanwhile, Shane Helms wrote, "Don't believe the hype" and then followed up by adding, "And please don't bash me for it. I didn't do it, had nothing to do with it."
