Report by Dot Net reader Dennis Fanning I met Bret Hart with my buddy Michael Angus before the show. Total class act. Soft spoken and polite, seemed genuinely interested with what we had to say. He signed our books but no pics were allowed. 1. The Young Bucks over Cheech and Cloudy. An excellent opener with a standing O and "this is awesome" chant. 2. Delirious over Sonjay Dutt. Pure comedy match. 3. Claudio Castignoli over Petey Williams, El Generico, and Chris Hero. Solid but short match with Claudio getting the pin on Williams after the Ricoilla Bomb. 4. Kevin Steen over Eddie Edwards. Steen won with piledriver on four chairs set up. A scary moment when a old lady at ringside got bowled over following an Irish whip by Steen. Bret Hart came out and talked to the crowd for about three minutes. He put over ROH and the city of Boston. 5. The Dark City Saints over Alex Payne and Bobby Dempsey in a squash. 6. Rodrick Strong over Nigel McGuiness with a clean pin. Nigel's chest was bright red by the end of the match after being lit up numerous times by chops. After the match, Nigel got on the mic and put over Strong and the other guys in the back. 7. Rhett Titus and Austin Aries over Colt Cabana and Kenny Omega. Titus got the pin on Cabana after a kick to the groin by Aries on Cabana. 8. Davey Richards over Bryan Danielson by submission in a 45-plus-minute classic match of the year. Five star match. Lots of stiff shots. The fans including my friend Mike were all over Richards to the point that Richards spat on him for his troubles and also flicked ball sweat on him. Danielson would finally submit to Richards. Fans gave both a standing O. Richards got on the mic and said ROH has the best wrestlers, and broke character by putting over Danielson, their past as roommates, and how he and everyone in the company is a better wrestler because of him. He left the ring. Danielson shared laughs with the crowd about him leaving for WWE, saying he'd retire here if he could afford to. He put over Richards as a better wrestler at this moment, and thanked the fans for treating him like he was special. He left the ring and shook hands with the fans, I got a handshake and thank you in! Amazing night capped off by that match...please buy this DVD when you can if just for that match alone!
