9/19 ROH in Chicago Ridge, Ill.: Austin Aries vs. Bryan Danielson for the ROH Title, The Briscoes challenge The American Wolves for the ROH Tag Titles, WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart appears on the main show

ROH in Chicago Ridge, Ill.
Report by Dot Net reader John

I've been to ROH in Chicago Ridge a few times, always a good show. The line for Bret Hart was three times as long as it was for Ric Flair's meet and greet.

Pre-Show

Brody Heffer defeated Titan "Kingston" (didn't catch his last name)

Andy Ridge and Tony Kozina defeated the Bravado Brothers

Main Show

1. Petey Williams defeated Rhett Titus.

2. Rasche "skullkrusher" Brown defeated. Silas Young, Alex "Sugarfoot" Payne, Grizzly Redwood, Alex O'Rielly, and Sal Rinaura in a mayhem match.

Nigel McGuinness came to the ring for a promo. Good stuff. Pretty much a farewell speech. Hentioned some of his ROH memories. "Keep supporting."

Bobby Cruise started ripping someone in a Jay Cutler jersey and the crowd was behind him for some reason. Just shows you how uneducated all of those people are in that arena about football. One bad game and all those jokers are booing.

3. Brent Albright and Bobby Dempsey beat The House of Truth.

4. Necro Butcher defeated Jimmy Rave in a dog collar match. They were all over the place in this match. Necro was cut up within the first minute of the match. So much blood. The match ended with in a submission with the chains around Rave's face.

Intermission.

Bret Hart cut a promo thanking fans and ...... I honestly couldn't hear it which was a bummer.

5. The Young Bucks beat The Dark City Fight Club.

6. Colt Cabana defeated Claudio Castagnoli.

The Briscoes came out and said they won their match in Philadelphia to be the number one contenders. They said they wanted the title shot immediately.

7. The Briscoe Brothers beat The American Wolves by disqualification. A Davey Richards leg drop on the referee got the DQ. Awesome match, though, with plenty of stiff spots. The Briscoes continued the beatdown on the Wolves. They got on the mic again, saying that was some bullshit and the wolves are pussies.

8. Austin Aries defeated Bryan Danielson by submission to retain the ROH title. Good action. "Please don't tap" chants for every submission hold. I wish Danielson the best of luck.
