6/26 ROH in Detroit: ROH Champion Austin Aries in a six way match, Nigel McGuinness vs. Claudio Castagnoli, The American Wolves vs. KENTA and Roderick Strong for the ROH tag team titles, Jimmy Jacobs vs. Tyler Black in a steel cage

ROH in Detroit, MI
By Dot Net Reader Steve Norman
1. Grizzly Redwood defeated Silas Young in an unadvertised match. Steve thought it was Silas Young but noted the ring announcer was not easy to hear. Grizzly won the match with a rollup. He mentioned too there were two matches before the show's start time, but he missed them.
2. Rhett Titus and Kenny King defeated Erick Stevens and Brent Albright. King got the pin with a roll-up. This was more of a comedy match than anything else.
3. Kevin Steen and El Generico defeated Josh Raymond and Christian Able. El Generico got the pin.
4. Nigel McGuinness vs. Claudio Castagnoli ended in a no-contest when both men were counted out.
5. Austin Aries defeated Joey Ryan, Delirious, Petey Williams, Sami Callihan, and Rasche Brown in a six-way mayhem non-title match. The stipulation was if Aries was pinned, the winner would recieve a future title shot. Aries pinned Delirious.
6. Colt Cabana defeated D-Lo Brown. Cabana hit Brown with the ring bell to score the pinfall.
7. The American Wolves defeated KENTA and Roderick Strong to retain the ROH World Tag Team Championships. Eddie Edwards submitted Roderick Strong via Single Leg Boston Crab
8. Tyler Black defeated Jimmy Jacobs in a steel cage match. Black hit a splash threw a table on Jacobs for the pin.
Other notes:
-There was a ten bell salute and a moment of silence for Mitsuharu Misawa.
-Michael Jackson music was played throughtout the show, Even El Generico's intro music for tonight was smooth criminal.
-It seemed like the show was being taped because a huge angle was cut during the end of Black vs. Jacobs cage match. At least 50 wrestlers dressed in black ran towards the cage and attacked Black as Jacobs screamed on the mic "it has just begun".
-The ROH Tag title match was by far the best match of the night. In one spot during the match, Davey Richards screamed 'fuck you' to a little child for bad mouthing him, which caused the crowd to start a 'let's go little kid' chant. The crowd was hot for every match last night.
Twill's Two Cents: Sounded like a good show and Steve mentioned ROH will be returning to Detroit on December 4th. I like that Aries won his match because given the stipulation, it would have made sense for him to lose. It makes him look strong to win that type of match.
