The top rope broke during the Bryan Danielson vs. Tyler Black match that was taped for pay-per-view in Detroit on Saturday. Slam Wrestling reports that it was not a planned spot, and that ROH did not bring another ring rope, so they had to resort to replacing it with the bottom rope for the main event match.

Here are the results from the pay-per-view taping, courtesy of Slam Wrestling.

-Ruckus won an Honor Rumble in a non-pay-per-view match.

-Bryan Danielson defeated Tyler Black.

-Roderick Strong and Naomichi Marufuji beat Chris Hero and Go Shiozaki.

-Silas Young beat Kenny Omega.

-Nigel McGuinness beat Claudio Castagnoli to retain the ROH Title.

-Kevin Steen defeated Necro Butcher.

-Erick Stevens beat Ruckus and Delirious and Shane Hagadorn in a four-way.

-The Briscoes beat Mitch Franklin and Silas Young.

-D-Ray 3000 beat Shane Holister in a non-pay-per-view match.

-Ernie Osiris and Kyle Durden and Alex Payne beat Rocky Fontaine and Ninja White and Ninja Yellow in a non-pay-per-view match.

Powell’s POV: The last match on the show was an over-the-top-rope Honor Rumble match, so one can only assume that the top rope breaking led to some panic. I have this image of an over-the-second-rope battle royal stuck in my head. The Slam Wrestling article notes that there were "Match of the Year" chants during the Danielson vs. Black match. The show will air on pay-per-view in September.
