6/21 Twilling's ROH on HDNet Live Coverage: Delirious and Jerry Lynn vs. Rhett Titus and Kenny King, Sara del Rey vs. Reggie, Eddie Edwards presents "The 10-Minute Hunt"
Jun 21, 2010 - 07:00 PM

By Rich Twilling

ROH on HDNet
Taped in Philadelphia, Penn.

[Q1] A graphic aired for tonight's Delirious and Jerry Lynn vs. Rhett Titus and Kenny King main event. The opening video aired. Mike Hogewood and Dave Prazak welcomed us to the show. They referenced Saturday's Death Before Dishonor VIII show and said highlights of the show would be sprinkled into tonight's broadcast...

Twill's Two Cents: You can watch the show on demand by heading over to gofightlive.tv.

Eddie Edwards was introduced and made his way to the ring. He introduced the "Eddie Edwards 10 Minute Hunt" and explained what it was. If anyone can beat him in ten minutes or last ten minutes, they will get a future shot at his championship.

Nick Westgate came out. Edwards had him introduce himself and let everyone know where he is from. Hogewood wondered who Westgate was. Edwards asked if Westgate was old enough to be there and then hit him in the head with the microphone...

1. Eddie Edwards vs. Nick Westgate in a 10 Minute Hunt match in 2:42. Westgate never recovered from the microphone shot. Edwards won with the achilles lock and stomps to the head...

Twill's Two Cents: I like the hook although it's going to have to end (if he loses the belt from this) with someone beating him twice in a row, or at least lasting the ten minutes and then beating him.

Austin Aries, Rhett Titus, and Kenny King cut a promo backstage. Actually A Double cut the promo and said he was going to unleash a new side of King and Titus. He had two lovely women come into the shot. He told his team not just yet...

2. Sara del Rey (with Shane Hagadorn, Chris Hero, and Claudio Castagnoli) defeated Reggie in 4:34.. Sara worked over the head and neck of Reggie. She scored a nearfall after hitting a couple of kicks.

[Q2] Reggie applied a small package and a school boy for two two counts. She hit a leg lariat from the top for another nearfall. It took a distraction from Hagadorn and the Kings for del Rey to regain the advantage. She hit the piledriver for the win...

Footage was shown of Kenny King vs. Jerry Lynn from October of last year. Lynn cut a promo about his injury and return to ROH...

3. Rasche Brown defeated Ricky Reyes in 4:46. Reyes gave Brown his biggest challenge on HDNet, nearly making Brown tap out. Brown hit the Burning Hammer (Torture Rack into a reverse DVD) for the win...

Twill's Two Cents: Slower paced match that never really captured the crowd. Decent showing in defeat for Reyes.

Brown was attacked by Erick Stevens but he ended up getting the best of the exchange before heading back to the ring and standing triumphantly...

A video package of Austin Aries being Randy Savage to Delirious' Ricky Steamboat was shown. Daizee Haze said they only had revenge on their mind...

A commercial promoting DBDVII was shown... [C]

[Q3] Next week's show will feature Erick Stevens vs. Necro Butcher and Tyler Black vs. El Generico in a non-title match...

Austin Aries made his way to the ring. The fans chanted his name. "If you people love me love so much, why don't you shut your mouthes so I can talk?" Awesome. Aries said he tried to apologize to Delirious, but was attacked.

He said Delirious would have to wait to face him because he was now a manager. Of course, they faced this past Saturday night. He introduced "the men the competition can't beat, but the women want to eat," the All Night Express.

Kenny King and Rhett Titus made their entrance and exchanged pleasantries with their manager...

4. The All Night Express (Kenny King and Rhett Titus, with Austin Aries) defeated Jerry Lynn and Delirious (with Daizee Haze) in 13:33. Delirious and Lynn worked over Titus on the floor, and King flew from the ring onto Titus.

[Q4] King and Titus worked on the neck of Delirious. They exercised frequent tags as Delirious took a lot of punishment to this throat. Delirious hit Shadows Over Hell across the back of King, but Titus broke it up.

Lynn and Delirious continued to use solid double team tactics. Delirious went to the top rope but Aries grabbed Daizee's hair, causing Delirious to jump at Aries to take him out. The ANE hit their backbreaker/top rope knee combo for the win...

After the match, Aries and his team started to work on Delirious some more, but Lynn came into the ring with a chair, causing the heels to get the hell out of there. Lynn, Delirious, and Haze stood triumphantly in the ring...

Twill's Two Cents: Good television main event. Nice to see Lynn back and Aries excelling in different areas within the company. Looking forward already to next week's show. I would have liked to see them do more to get people to want to see Saturday's DBDVIII show. They mentioned it, but they should have hyped the hell out of it and made people that missed it feel sorry that they did.

Thank you for following along with me. See you next week.
