ROH on HDNet
Taped in Philadelphia, PA

[Q1] The opening video aired. Mike Hogewood and Dave Prazak welcomed us to the show. A table was shown in the ring. The American Wolves and Shane Hagador came out to cut a promo. Davey Richards said they would put Steen and Generico through a table again and become the ROH Tag Team Champinos when they do.

Steen and Generico hit the ring and ran off the Wolves. Hagador was left behind and Steen joked about not being the type of guys to put him through the table. Generico changed Steen's mind and they put Hagador through a table...

A graphic was shown for the four way ROH Title match in two weeks. The announcers let us know that next week there would be a tag team title tables match between the Wolves and Steen and Generico...

A Jerry Lynn promo aired talking about his opponents in two weeks and the night he won the title...

Twill's Two Cents: Solid opening segment with the tag teams and nice video with ROH Champion Jerry Lynn. By the way, my Austin Aries mustache is officially gone. It was fun(ny) while it lasted.

1. Kenny Omega defeated Jay Briscoe (with Mark Briscoe) and Kenny King in a triple threat match in 9:16. Before the match, Omega complained about the lack of shaking hands by King. Briscoe then slapped both men. Briscoe and Omega double teamed King on the floor, but King did a base jump to the apron and propelled himself onto both men.

King worked over Omega, but Briscoe took advantage. Basically, they took turns being incapacitated on the floor so they could basically have a bunch of one on one matches. King and Briscoe worked extensively until Omega hit a double high crossbody and more impressively, a double hurricarana.

[Q2] Briscoe bled the hard way just over the eye. King hit a springboard blockbuster for a two count on Briscoe. Omega hit a Backstabber on King while King was sitting on the top rope. Briscoe went to the top, but King recovered and kicked him to the floor. Omega was lifted by King into a Torture Rack, but Omega rolled through with a sunset flip with a bridge for the win...

Twill's Two Cents: Very enjoyable match. All three men pulled out a lot of high spots but also told a nice story. I'm curious to see what, if anything, will come of Omega winning this match. It might just be a case of great action leading to nowhere.

2. The Dark City Fight Club defeated Irish Airborne in 1:47. Quick squash match with the finish coming when the Club caught a double dropkick attempt, and immediately hit the powerbomb/reverse neckbreaker for the win...

Twill's Two Cents: Not much to say; not much for the Fight Club to do right now except squash people.

Kyle Durden interviewed Necro Butcher and Delirious backstage. They cut their standard promo... [C]

Back from commercial, Durden interviewed Jimmy Jacobs with Brodie Lee standing by. Jacobs said both Butcher and Delirious were lost without a leader. He said they would take them out tonight...

Bryan Danielson was featured in a video package. This was a solid piece showcasing Daniels and his push to become the first two time ROH Champion...

[Q3] 3. Chris Hero (with Sarah Del Rey) defeated Eddie Kingston by disqualification in 5:25. Kingston hit the ring quickly and went right after Hero. On the floor, Del Rey distracted Eddie, allowing Hero to hit a running dropkick. Hero controlled the match for several moments and scored many nearfalls.

Eddie came back and hit the backdrop driver. I hate that move. It is a broken neck waiting to happen. In the corner, Kingston pounded on Hero and the referee tried to get him to stop. Kingston knocked down the referee and was disqualified...

Footage was shown of Claudio Castagnoli vs. Brent Albright last week. Albright cut a promo backstage talking about having a shoe thrown at him and being kicked in the balls. He then thanked Colt Cabana and Cabana came in to liven up the promo. He said Albright was too serious, but he had his back now and in the future. He then asked, "Who throws a shoe, really?" ...

Twill's Two Cents: Yes, who throws a shoe? By the way, it is great to have Colt back in ROH. I'm looking forward to this feud.

4. Necro Butcher and Delirious defeated Jimmy Jacobs and Brodie Lee in 8:43. All four men began brawling on the floor. Delirious and Jacobs entered the ring and the match officially began. He manhandled Jacobs in the ring before Lee entered to even things up.

[Q4] Necro and Lee began brawling in the center of the ring. He backdropped Lee to the floor. Delirious hit a top rope somersault plancha onto his opponents on the floor, but overshot it a bit and hit the railing. Jacobs and Lee hit a double suplex on Necro from the ring to the floor.

Brodie held up Delirious, allowing Jacobs to hit a double axe handle. They tried it again, but Delirious hit a headbutt to Jacobs' midsection. Butcher came back to push Jacobs into Lee to break up a nearfall. Jacobs rolled some thumbtacks at the barefooted Necro Butcher. Butcher slammed Lee onto the tacks and Delirious hit Shadows over Hell for the win...

Twill's Two Cents: Above average tag match that was more of a no DQ match than anything. I'm a really big fan of Jacobs and Lee can impress, but I just cannot get behind Butcher and Delirious, even though I respect what they do. This was probably the worst show on HDNet to date, but the next two weeks should be memorable.
