Powell's POV: This doesn't strike me as the type of apology that will make most of the fans who were insulted by his comments suddenly forgive and forget, but I am curious to see how it is received.

For those who missed his most recent controversial tweet, Briscoe wrote the following in response to the Delaware Senate passing a bill that allows gay couples to marry: "If that makes you happy, then congratulations!!! Try and teach my kids there's nothing wrong with that and I'll f---ing shoot you." His Twitter account has been deleted since then.
