ROH News: ROH issues a statement on Jay Briscoe's controversial Twitter comments
May 9, 2013 - 10:30 AM |
Ring of Honor issued the following statement on their Twitter page regarding the comments that Jay Briscoe made on gay marriage.
"Ring of Honor Wrestling respects and appreciates every fan regardless of age, gender, race, religion or sexual preference. The recent post by Jay Briscoe does not represent the views or opinions of Ring of Honor Wrestling, its owners, management or employees." Follow the company online at Twitter.com/Ringofhonor.
Powell's POV: For those who missed it, Briscoe wrote the following in response to the Delaware Senate passing a bill that allows gay couples to marry. "If that makes you happy, then congratulations!!!" Briscoe wrote. "...try and teach my kids there's nothing wrong with that and I'll f---ing shoot you." His Twitter account has been deleted since then.
