ROH News: Sinclair Broadcasting announces acquisition of eight TV stations
Nov 2, 2011 - 03:15 PM |
ROH parent company, Sinclair Broadcasting, gave their third-quarter report and announced they had acquired eight TV stations in seven cities from Freedom Communications as reported by Deadline.com. The new stations and cities are:
WPEC – CBS West Palm Beach, FL
WWMT – CBS Kalamazoo, MI
WRGB and WCWN – CBS and CW Albany, NY
WTVC – ABC Chattanooga, TN
WLAJ – ABC Lansing, MI
KTVL – CBS Medford, OR
KFDM – CBS Beaumont, TX
Shore's Slant: Presumably, these stations will also carry the ROH wrestling show once they are fully in the fold at Sinclair, though with the seven of the stations being a "Big 4" affiliate, don't expect a great time slot. WPEC and WWMT are the number 38 and 39 markets in the nation, so that's a good win for ROH. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Adam Lebow]
