ROH updates the tag title situation, Jack Evans heading overseas
May 11, 2008 - 10:34 PM |
Ring of Honor has announced that they will crown new tag team champions in a tournament on June 6 in Hartford, Conn. Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black, and Kevin Steen and El Generico are the only advertised teams for the tournament thus far.
Meanwhile, the company also announced that Jack Evans is taking a leave of absence from ROH to work international tours. To read the full story on the tournament, Evans, the Motor City Machine Guns, and other ROH news, visit ROHWrestling.com.
Powell's POV: The tag title storyline is that Jay Briscoe vacated the tag titles on Saturday night following the Hammerstein Ballroom show in New York. ROH is teasing a story on the website tomorrow regarding Briscoe's reason for giving up the tag titles he held with Austin Aries. As for Evans, the story notes that he is leaving on good terms and will be welcomed back with open arms.
