On Tyler Black's reception from ROH fans: "It's worse than lukewarm. Tyler Black has been phenomenal, every match he has had has been a classic.....but there is a group of  fans that travel around to the Ring of Honor shows not to cheer for Tyler or cheer for his opponent, but to tell Tyler Black he sucks. It's taken on a life of its own. Actually, to me, I think its helping the guy because he is so much hungrier now than he was six months ago. He goes out there and kicks peoples asses, and gets his kicked in return and doesn't care. So just to shove it down their throats......starting to turn into an interesting dynamic"

On the PG era in WWE: "It is wrestling. Like any form of combat sport or mixed martial arts, it is simulated and somewhat real combat and the lines are somewhat drawn. It has to include violence. I'm not advocating going out there with a fork and gouging someone's eyeball out. I'm not advocating the hardcore, 'Oh lets bash each other with florescent light tubes'. But just as in a dramatic UFC or MMA contest, in a combat, contact sport, people are gonna get busted open, gonna bleed. I don't think its gonna send anybody's children off to be the next Ted Bundy. It just depends on the context, you try not to do things in bad taste....The PG rating for the sake of it has just sanitized and homogenized wrestling to where its more of a kids product, sports entertainment these days rather than entertaining sport, to me."

On Danielson's firing from WWE: "Thats the decision making process in major league, corporate wrestling these days. Its ironic that the one guy that if all pro wrestling fans 'were really pulling for to succeed' is the one guy that gets jobbed out and then fired for failing to adhere to sports entertainment guidelines......I would never have in a million years have even wanted anybody to rehearse a deal like that (referring to the first NXT invasion) because the whole idea is you have these young guys come in and tear things up."
