Apr 21, 2008 - 12:58 PM |
ROHwrestling.com has announced that the company will be making an an announcement on the future of the ROH Tag Titles "later today or tomorrow." The titles are currently held by the Mark and Jay Briscoe. However, Mark is scheduled to undergo wrist surgery on Friday and will miss between three and six months.
ROH is advertising the following matches for the May 9 debut in Manassas, Va. at Sports Network and Fitness Inc.: Roderick Strong and Rocky Romero and Davey Richards vs. Takeshi Morishima and Naomichi Marufuji and Go Shiozaki, Bryan Danielson vs. Tyler Black, Austin Aries vs. Erick Stevens, Jay Briscoe vs. Jimmy Jacobs. For more information, visit ROHwrestling.com.
Powell's POV: The storyline explanation for Mark's injury is that he was stabbed in the arm by Jimmy Jacobs, which sets up the singles match between Jacobs and Jay Briscoe at the Virginia show. I'll keep you posted regarding the tag title situation once ROH makes the announcement.
