Ring of Honor has announced that it has launched a downloadable DVD service. "Featuring more than seventy out-of-stock titles from the eight year history of ROH, this service allows fans to finally purchase the events they may have missed their opportunity to buy when the DVD’s were first released," reads a press release. For more information on the service, visit ROHwrestling.com. [Thanks to Dot Net member HiSpot]
Powell's POV: The press release also notes that the price tag is $10 per title that can be burned to DVD and it also comes with a cover art. The price tag is a little steep considering that TNA is charging $3.99 for individual shows and $7.99 for a monthly unlimited subscription to it's video vault website. Meanwhile, WWE is charging $3.95 per month for it's classics website. Even so, it's great to see ROH take this step and open a new revenue stream.
