-Ring of Honor posted a brief statement regarding Bryan Danielson's appearance in a dark match held prior to Monday's Raw. "Bryan Danielson worked a dark match for WWE last Monday with the permission of Ring Of Honor."
-In the same section labeled "ROH Business Notes," it was noted that the company attempted to bring in Ric Flair as a special guest for the August 2 show in Manhattan, N.Y. "However, the deal is now not possible," reads the blurb. "If ROH had secured Flair attempts would have been made to get Kenta Kobashi to the event so that Kobashi and Flair would have the opportunity to shake hands in front of the crowd. There are no talks of Kobashi returning to ROH.
-The company also stated that Lance Storm will not be wrestling on the July 25-26 shows. He made the same announcement on his website earlier this week. To read the full ROH Business Notes section, click here.
Powell’s POV: I'll have more to say about the Bryan Danielson situation later today. Flair would have been a big coup for ROH if the price was right. It's good that ROH acknowledged that Storm won't be wrestling, as it would have been misleading for the company to continue to be ambiguous regarding his role on the Toronto and Detroit shows.
