The WFX Wrestling promotion issued a statement on Thursday to allege that Ring of Honor has stolen footage from their television show to promote Charlie Haas's upcoming appearance.
"Well the way I see it, ROH can send WFX a payment for the money they saved from not having to go to Texas to produce footage of their own to promote Charlie Haas, that they instead chose to steal which that they had absolutely zero rights to from our Company," WFX CEO Jeff Dyck said in a statement.
Meanwhile, WFX's Mike Davidson took a shot at ROH: "Its a piss poor business move from a company that is a bit of a joke if you ask me. We would never be in a position to do the same because in our humble opinion, guys such as Delirious, Chris Hero, and Austin Aries pale drastically in comparison to the brand name talent we use. Would they do this to TNA, or WWE? No of course they wouldn't but today they did a hell of a job of legitimizing our company." To read the full statement, visit WFXwrestling.com.
Powell's POV: The WFX promotion has been taping shows in Winnipeg that air on America One and other networks. They have used a lot of name talent. The story notes that the company intends to issue a cease and desist to ROH owner Cary Silkin on Friday. They have also stated that there are no issues between WFX and Haas regarding this situation. If the allegations are true, then I don't blame WFX for being upset, but the comment regarding Delirious, Hero, and Aries strikes me as unnecessary. Likewise, Silkin is also referred to as an "idiot" in the statement.
