ROH Champion Jay Briscoe apologized publicly at the Belle Vernon, Pa. event on Saturday night for the Twitter comments he posted regarding the same sex marriage issue earlier in the week. Powell's POV: This doesn't strike me as the type of apology that will make most of the fans who were insulted by his comments suddenly forgive and forget, but I am curious to see how it is received.

For those who missed his most recent controversial tweet, Briscoe wrote the following in response to the Delaware Senate passing a bill that allows gay couples to marry: "If that makes you happy, then congratulations!!! Try and teach my kids there's nothing wrong with that and I'll f---ing shoot you." His Twitter account has been deleted since then.
