Dot Net reader Sean Faulkner attended Friday's Ring of Honor SuperCard of Honor VII event in New York and sent the following report on the live experience.

The pre-show meet and greet was pretty cool. It cost $10 to get an autographed 8x10 (or personal item) from each guy. Cary Silkin was saying hello to people at the start of the line and asking people where they were from and thanking them for coming, which was a nice touch.

Kevin Steen was especially nice. I had emailed Steen back and forth a few times over the last couple months and had some DVDs to give him. He seemed genuinely thankful for them and let me take a picture with him even though they weren't allowing them and security tried to get him not to. The picture came out poorly, so he told me to come back around in a bit and we'd take one. Once the line died down, I went back and he got an ROH photographer to take the picture with my camera so it would come out. He asked me if I wanted to hold the title in the picture, which is especially cool given he lost it later that night.

The Michael Elgin vs. Jay Lethal match was amazing. It was the match of the night for sure and the energy in the place was great.

Damn, Matt Hardy gets some serious heat.

The Wolves match was good, too, though the "kick out of 20 finishers, lose to a rollup" thing that ROH does so much is lame.

The main event was a fun match, though I figured out Jay was winning as the match started because the entire Brisco family (parents, wives, kids) were sitting right across from me, next to where SCUM would run in from.

All and all, it was a great night. It was my first ROH show and I wish I could go to more, but unfortunately they don't come to California much.
