In an obvious worked story, ROH announced that Tomasso Ciampa will not be wrestling in Charlotte on September 8 due to being unable to see the doctor's report from Ciampa's knee injury at the Boiling Point iPPV. The story notes that Ciampa may have a torn ACL, but that his manager, RD Evans, is withholding the medical reports from the company. You can read the story at http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/breaking-news-tommaso-ciampa.

Shore's Slant: I have been able to confirm that Ciampa's injury is legit, though no one I spoke with is aware of the extent of the injury. It sounds like Ciampa was trying to work through it, but the knee is not healing properly and he is going to have further tests. I don't mind ROH being cautious here id they truly don't know how bad the injury is, but why go through all the trouble to keep kayfabe on this? Just say he's hurt and that he is having further tests and move on. There's no need to create a story and try and work people.
