ROH News: Ring of Honor to debut TV Title; tournament to be held to crown first champion (video available)

Jim Cornette announced that Ring of Honor will debut a new Television Championship and a tournament will begin at the February 5 and 6 tapings to crown the first champion. The belt will be defended regularly on the ROH on HDNet show. To watch the video, click here.

Twill's Two Cents: While WWE and TNA have too many titles, ROH adding this championship is a very good thing. Despite it being a TV Title, I hope they don't have it defended too often so the title can still mean something. ROH has a lot of singles stars who could really benefit from having a belt to feud over.
